Living Dex is a free fan-made tracker for your Pokémon collection. It keeps as little about you as it can.
On your device
Your caught list and a few settings (like which box you were on) are saved in your browser's storage. They stay on your device unless you choose to save online.
If you sign in with Google
- Google tells this site your Google account ID and your name. The site turns the account ID into a scrambled identifier and saves your caught list under it.
- Your first name is kept only in a sign-in cookie in your own browser, so the page can show who's signed in. It isn't saved on the server.
- Your email address and anything else in your Google account are not saved.
- The sign-in cookie lasts up to 180 days, and signing out removes it.
If you use a sync code
Your caught list is saved under a scrambled version of the code. The code itself isn't stored, so only people who have it can open the list. Keep it private.
Deleting your data
- Signed in: open your account from the tracker's header, then choose Delete my saved progress. This removes your list from the server and signs you out.
- Sync code: open Sync, then choose Delete this code's saved progress.
- On your device: clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything stored there.
Other services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also stores the saved lists. Fonts come from Google Fonts and Pokémon pictures from GitHub. Google's sign-in script loads only when you open the sign-in window. Like any website, these services can see your IP address when your browser contacts them.
There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
